Thanks again Ridgeway for a great showing. The weather was beautiful and as usual you showed your love for fine art. I look forward to next year.

Controlled By The Old Man

The old man in us wants control and for us to do what we feel. It is not easy to say no to his pull.

 God's love requires us to accept Christ, be lead by the Holy Spirit and Love God.

Arts On The Ridge

In about two weeks a small South Carolina town will buzz with excitement. The Arts On The Ridge in Ridgeway SC will bring to the city local artist and performers for a weekend festival of fun. I look forward to seeing all the artist and vendors. My mission this year is to keep my wife near my booth. It is a hard assignment. There are too many unique crafts and jewelry around.

It Just Keeps on Building

 

 

A few months back I wrote that Head Coach Dawn Staley of the University of South Carolina Women’s' Basketball team was good for the school, the community and the state. Her reward comes in the form of a number one recruit in the country choosing to stay home and help Dawn continue to build. Aja adds another layer of strength to the team that has always walked away from Carolina. This is also another check that coach Staley can add to the many first for the University of South Carolina.

The news continues with the total signing class of 2014.

Something Good In The Shadows

Recently in the city of Charleston, S.C.I noticed a street performer singing songs for a quarter. He plucked his guitar and sang with the joy of a kid singing at a school talent show. His love for what he was doing came through and was as strong as the southern sunshine. However, many people were confused on what to do. I know that there are cities now that frown and penalize those who give to panhandlers. This leaves some visitors with a dilemma....what to do? Well, artist and street performers are actually working. Even though they love what they do and would do it for free, I think a quarter for a three minute performance is a deal.  Please feel free to let artist do what artist do. You and the artist will be amazed.
