Pushing the envelope?

As an artist I appreciate going outside the boundaries set by formations and restrictions. However for each step we take there are others who see that line as the boundary and pushes to go even farther. That is where each of us must first take a hard look at what lines we will step across and which lines we won't.

The gauge you use determines where you will and won't. For me, it is the Word of God. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galations 6:7 This is true for us as individuals, country and man. These are very dangerous days, but they can also be the most productive days for seed planters. This is just a reminder to those who care enough to stop and ask. My words have no meaning to those who do not use the same gauge as I. For those who do, God's words are alive not dead.

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” Galations 5:7-9



So, what lines will you cross?



So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Galations 5:16-18



The lines are clearer than you may think.



The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galations 5: 19-24



The lines are clear. Pushing the envelope in entertainment seems to have taken a faster pace than ever now. The lines start in areas that are already too extreme.
