Jesus Christ Gave Up Everything

Why did Jesus, Creator of heaven and earth, give up everything to take on the form of a man and suffer so much here on earth?



"For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:6-8)


The reason for Jesus' ministry can be summarized in one scripture verse. "He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8)

A White Christmas...Not

A White Christmas would be nice sometimes. But, I'll take a little beach weather in the seventies and sunshine most of the time. Awwww... Hilton Head Island will always give me peace. LOL so much so I can't even think right now.

Did You Miss The Call Also?

I hope they didn’t take it personal when I didn't answered the phone. I only let it ring a few times. But, when it reads Unknown Caller, I’m not too anxious to pick it up quickly. That would be the only thing I can think of as to why “Garden and Guns” left me out of the 100 Southern Artist article. A missed call…yes that has to be it.

 Note to self....Answer the phone!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
