SweetGrass from Charleston SC

http://fineartamerica.com/featured/sweet-grass-i-c-f-legette.html

Sweet Grass basket weaving is a low-country tradition and way of life. The rights to harvest , weave and sell baskets are sold only to family members.

Each weaver has their own style.

If you are in Charleston, SC anyone will point you to the Market. The weavers weave and sell all in various places throughout the area.
Just remember the grass is rare and the weavers are dwindling.

Fine Art Master Pieces In Any Living Room

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/event/article-2662675/Turn-YOUR-living-room-worlds-BEST-art-gallery-little-help-incredible-websites.html

This is a good idea for the art lovers in the world. Famous museums around the world are now allowing you to print master pieces and frame thrm for your wall. Great news but I still say buy and original from a local artist. It may eeventually end up being a master piecethat you own outright. Evene if it doeesn't you still have a one of a kind original. Just saying. hint hint

In Honor of A Great Musician: Robert Newton III

http://www.thestate.com/2012/07/27/2370039/honoring-columbias-guitar-guru.html

Robert Newton III never met a stranger. On the brief times lately that we ran into each other the smile of a friend was always present. Words are hard to come when you think of Robert because he lived his life like good music. Good music never meets a rejecting ear.

Thanks for the music and friendship Robert.
God's comfort to your family.

Southern Pecan Is My Flavor

There is always room for one more place to brunch.  Café Studel has been around since 1997 but the latest move fits it perfectly. Across the Gervais Street Bridge into West Columbia and a quick left hand turn at the second light gets you to a perfect place to brunch. French toast is one of their specialties. I had it with scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. However, I didn’t have a lot of room left after consuming several cups of the perfectly brewed Southern Pecan flavored coffee. The coffee bar, that’s located near the rear before the outside patio, is lined with several different flavors of freshly brewed coffee.  Esther had the hash brown dish. It passed the Sunday test with her. We will be back soon.
The dish of the day changes but I’m sure that anything you had before can be found again without much fuss. The highlight of the décor is the large selection of art on the walls. This made me at home. Enjoy a great meal and fine atmosphere if you visit Columbia, SC
