Ramma Jamma In Bamma

There is so much championship memorabilia in here there is no way to see everything on one visit.

On game day it's almost impossible to get in for breakfast or lunch. During the summer it's not as tough but the food is just the same. Ramma Jamma in Tuscaloosa, Ala. is so close to Bryant Denny Stadium (home of the National Championship Crimson Tide football team) that you can roll a quarter from a seat and it could make it to the gate.

It's all basic American style food cooked on the grill just like you'd expect American style food to be cooked.

It's an early morning. Can't wait for the grub to come off the grill.

The Storm Before The Calm

For all of the fellow artist;
I don't know about you but I am more panic before a show than at the show. The studio looks and feels like I do. My wife refuses to come near it. It's a good thing because it could be a little dangerous getting around. Somehow i know were everything should be. And, I can always tell when someone moves something.
To all spouses of artist be extremely patient with an artist around a show. Nothing said during this time is coming from a sane person. As a matter of fact they may never know they said it.
The show however is a totally different deal.

Honoring The Fallen

http://www.wltx.com/story/news/local/2014/05/26/soldiers-fallen-memorial/9612891/

A talent and a service. This is a story that tugs at the heart. God bless those who serve and God bless Karen Langley and her talent.

"Hopefully this is a good part that I can do, I just feel like it is helping them to heal and I just feel like it's an honor to be able to paint them and it hopefully brings them peace to be able to see their son or daughter every day."

What a statement.

Is It The Art or The Gold?

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/05/23/lina-viktor-is-the-artist-who-paints-with-gold.html

Is it the art? Is it the gold? Is it both?

With out the shine would the patterns hold up?

If it were only oil, acrylic, ink, etc. would the art even stand up?

These are just questions that pass through my mind. I am intrigued by what I see but I can't help but say the gold makes it more interesting than anything. It is impossible to undo an image that has been captured by the mind so, to say I wouldn't be intrigued if it were not gold. I have decided to let art be the art and accept the artist as the artist.

Enjoy.....the gold...LOL
