Artist Interpretation Gone Awray

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/08/28/hello-kitty-not-cat-expert-says/

As an artist I am all for artist freedom of expression and interpretation, however when a duck looks like a duck it's a duck. And, when a cat looks like a cat its a cat. Kitty looks like a kitty to me. Now the artist says that Kitty is a  girl and Kitty is just the girls name.

"She's never depicted on all fours," Christine R. Yano, an anthropologist with the University of Hawaii who is curator of a Hello Kitty retrospective at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles in October, told the newspaper. "She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat."

Sebastien Del Grosso Blast Through His Own Pages

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2730016/How-draw-attention-work-The-artist-brings-selfies-life-skilful-sketches-disguised-paintings.html

A skillful artist has brought his selfies to life - by sketching himself into the picture to make the photographs look like paintings.

It is an interesting and up to date technique.
I love how much more artist are able to do on their own now with the help of a laptop.

Click the picture above to see some of Sebastien's works.

DePalma's in Tuscaloosa, Al

Another great stop. If you visit the friendly town of Tuscaloosa you must leave time to have a meal at DePalma's. Each dish that we have had (from basic Italian to specialties) left us with a smile. Believe me there is much to do in such a small town and restaurants have not taken a back seat. Enjoy the sports and eat well.
