Mr. Richard "Dick" Durand Smith, Jr.

November 11, 1923 - April 29, 2016    

 

It's strange thing when your boss ask you to accept Christ as Savior. (I don't know how well that would go over today.)
 At that time, I was upset and ran for ten years. Our business relationship was strong and I watched him and his bible classes from afar. But it was the way he cared and the love he showed that caused me to stop running long enough to actually listen to what Christ had to say.

I accepted Christ.

That was  over twenty-five years ago and Christ has been apart of my life since then. Tomorrow is the home going service of a person that I respect, love and thank for taking the time to explain why Christ should be my reason for living.

Rest well Mr. Smith.

Columbia, SC will certainly smell better on April 30. That is when close to forty food trucks will arrive at the fairgrounds. There will also be brewers of all types of beer along with them.  

 

 

The South Carolina Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival is noon-7 p.m. April 30 at the State Fairgrounds on Columbia.

What exactly Is A
Humble Strutt?

A Humble Strutt is a Christian walk with confidence.

The way CF spells Humble Strutt (with two T's)
means it is not ordinary. It is different from a worldly strut.

 It is a *peculiar strutt.

The HUMBLE STRUTT
is a heavenly assured Walk of Faith in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Represented in paintings:

1. When there is a single young lady pictured,
it refers to a Christian walking at Peace with God. Her name is Pure.

2. When there are two female Humble-Strutt walkers,

 the older one is named Wisdom and the younger one is Youth.

3. When there are three females present, the names are Love (the oldest) along with Faith and Hope.


* If there is a window in the painting (that seems to come out of nowhere)

 it represents that God is with us always and will always give us a way out from any and all situations. He is always with us.
