Review: Wireless Headsets

http://www.valmg.com/jabraheadphonesbby/
I love new technology and the freedom that some things allow us to have. However, I am still not committed to the wireless headsets yet. It has nothing to do with the sound or quality of the different brands (Bose, Beats or the Jabra Pulse above.) The reason I don't fully commit to them is because In the middle of a workout they often lose power. Sometime during the week I will forget to plug in and recharge. It always seems to happen in the middle of a workout. I end up falling back to the good ole tried and true plug-ins. They never loose power. So, if you decide to spend the bucks on a new set of wireless, don't throw your old set of regular plug-ins away.

Keep you old tried and true handy.

Fitness Tip: High School Running and Middle Adult Running Are Worlds Apart

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2893726/Why-New-Year-s-resolution-jog-injure-beginners-don-t-follow-proper-training-plan-try-run-fast.html

It is much easier to start slow and increase than to start full out and drop back. Most new runners end up quitting, hurting or both because they try way too hard to be an elute runner on the first time out. Running in high school and running as a middle age adult are two different worlds.
Give yourself a break and begin slow and work your way into a zone that works. After that you can increase your speed and distance.

New to Fitness: Relax

A word of advice to anyone new to the fitness world or starting over again. This is the time of year when everyone starts off with good intentions to get in shape, stay fit or compete in a race.
My advice is to RELAX.
No matter where you are in your fitness journey, remember that it takes more time to get back in shape than it did to get out of shape. If you never have please don't start off expecting to compete with someone who has been doing it for all along. I don't know the statistics but I have seen my share of people spend good money and then leave after a few weeks because they didn't see results right off.
Everybody has a body that  has been through different stresses and conditions. Take the time to assess where you are (realistically) before you start. Then, if needed consult an experienced trainer to help. Set short and long term goals to achieve. Reward yourself when you reach each goal. Finally, if you don't enjoy what you are doing is it really worth it? There are too many ways to workout to do something that doesn't work for you.
Just find one and DO IT.
