Can Red Wine Make You Mean?

(I have a weird confession: Red wine makes me mean. If I have even one glass, my head feels like it's in a vice and I become super irritable. So much so, in fact, that my old boyfriend used to warn, "Ends in tears, J. Ends in tears.")

Looking at red wine in a different way after this interesting article.

Running On The Left Is Right

http://www.outsideonline.com/1963066/runners-stick-side-road

It has always been taught in elementary school to walk on the left facing traffic and ride (bikes) on the right with traffic. Somehow this must not apply to schools today. Even though it may not be against the law in some states, it is safer to follow the old school rules.

I see too many bike riding the wrong way and way too many runners with their backs to traffic. Please...for your safety follow the old school rules. It could save your life.

Happy Easter Weekend

“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
 Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Matthew 5:6-14

Cheese Burger or Protein Drink?

According to a new study eating fast-food after a workout does just as good as a protein drink or bar. I don't know about you but I will stick with what I'm used to doing.

Ready for Braves Baseball

Now that that Final Four week is upon us I'm getting geared up for baseball.
In the mean-time
Kentucky seems to be the team to beat in the men's division. It is crazy to think any other way. Every game they have played lately is down to the wire but they always prevail.
Connecticut is strong in the women's games but showed some vulnerabilities against Dayton. I'm sure Dawn Staley and her coaching crew have taken note and will adjust for the championship game. That is if they don't look pass Notre Dame on Sunday.

Congrats to all teams in the Final Four
Atlanta Braves let's do this thing this year.

With All Your Heart Trust In God

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

 My son, do not forget my teaching,
    but let your heart keep my commandments,
 for length of days and years of life
    and peace they will add to you.
 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
    bind them around your neck;
    write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success
    in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.
 In all your ways acknowledge him,
    and he will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes;
    fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
 It will be healing to your flesh
    and refreshment to your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth
    and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
then your barns will be filled with plenty,
    and your vats will be bursting with wine.
My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
    or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
    as a father the son in whom he delights.
Proverbs 3:1-18
