The Towel Quandary

I’m not saying that this didn’t happen to me, I’m just saying. Suppose you had a good workout and now are sitting in the sauna enjoying the heat. When you went into the sauna there were no towels hanging on the towel rack. And, you are the only person in the sauna. Out of the corner of your eye (through the glass door) you see someone walk by with what looks like your towel. Okay, every boy owns a white towel with dark blue and light blue strips on it …right? A few minutes later, the same person comes back by the glass door with the same towel. That is when questions flood your mind. This person however, is polite enough to open the door and say, “I’m so sorry. I took your towel by mistake. I didn’t use it. I’m so sorry.

Hummm!!!!

What a nice person right? Well, now you are in a quandary. I know for a fact that when you are wet and you have a towel, the first thing you do is wipe your face with it. It’s just normal. I’m not saying that this guy is lying but who holds a towel without touching some part of your body. God knows where else it has been. This leads to the main question.

Do you use a towel after someone else walks off with it out of your line of site?

  1. No

  1. Yes

There is no (C) answer.

If you don’t mind please give your reasoning behind your well thought out answer in the comment section.

Benefits of Freedom

Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of freedom. Therefore, be firm in this freedom, and don’t become slaves again.
I, Paul, can guarantee that if you allow yourselves to be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you.  Again, I insist that everyone who allows himself to be circumcised must realize that he obligates himself to do everything Moses’ Teachings demand. Those of you who try to earn God’s approval by obeying his laws have been cut off from Christ. You have fallen out of God’s favor. However, in our spiritual nature, faith causes us to wait eagerly for the confidence that comes with God’s approval. As far as our relationship to Christ Jesus is concerned, it doesn’t matter whether we are circumcised or not. But what matters is a faith that expresses itself through love.
You were doing so well. Who stopped you from being influenced by the truth? The arguments of the person who is influencing you do not come from the one who is calling you. A little yeast spreads through the whole batch of dough. 1The Lord gives me confidence that you will not disagree with this. However, the one who is confusing you will suffer God’s judgment regardless of who he is. Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching that circumcision is necessary, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the cross wouldn’t be offensive anymore.  I wish those troublemakers would castrate themselves.
You were indeed called to be free, brothers and sisters. Don’t turn this freedom into an excuse for your corrupt nature to express itself. Rather, serve each other through love.  All of Moses’ Teachings are summarized in a single statement, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” But if you criticize and attack each other, be careful that you don’t destroy each other.
Let me explain further. Live your life as your spiritual nature directs you. Then you will never follow through on what your corrupt nature wants.
Galations 5:1-16

Make It A Weight not Wait Room

Weight Room Tips

Old habits are hard to break and the gym is one of the places that habits are usually written in non-erasable ink. If you get upset that someone is ahead of you on a machine or using a free-weight just before you put your hands on it, then you might be stuck in a old habit. Your routine is getting rusty.

Most gyms are public and there will always be someone else working out when you work out. If you sit there waiting with a frown on your face watching every slow rep the other person does or (worst) ask to jump in for a quick set, you are missing an opportunity to break an old habit. And, breaking that old habit just might help you improve you goals. Why not try a new (don’t be afraid) machine or use a different weight. The body responds to habit and change differently. The different angle, weight or pace hits the muscles with something new to deal with. It will struggle to adjust but it will recover and conquer. We are made like that. Well that’s only if we let the mind get over it. Don’t even think about it. Just do it. Don’t let the weight room turn into a wait room. You will feel so much better at the end of your workout.

It's your choice you can really use the weight room or wait in the wait room.
