It's Meatball Day

It's Greek Fest time in Columbia, SC. This means one thing for me...meatballs. I have no idea what's in them but they have my name on them. Icannot turn them down. I have allowed two days to pass while they called out to me. And, now I must give in.  

My wife has other ideas.

Remember what I said about a grill earlier. I am stuffed on meatballs and still this grill sings out.

Go get some meatball folks.

Laura's Tea Room in Ridgeway SC

Ridgeway is a small town with great packages.

One of them is this two story building with unique gifts and a place for women to get away and do what they do best...talk. It's a Tea Room. Laura's Tea Room and The Thompson Company are in a historic building with plenty of character. Enjoy a walk through the small town and take in all the scenery and then enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea.

No Joke...The Griddle cafe is on it. The RED VELVET pancake is a must-have. Oder your regular breakfast favorites but you might want to keep your eyes on the red velvet while you eat..others my get loose with their forks. Theyonly serve them on certain days. I hear it's an e-mail thing.

The Sea Shack on Hilton Head Island

Worth the wait.

This is the best value on the island. It's not quite the secret that it was, but like I said it is worth the wait. The seasoning on everything I ate was just right and the portions are more than generous. You may want to come on a bike or walk to the resturaunt just to get a little exercise when you are able to get up from the table.

After a morning of riding bikes, we had lunch at the Salty Dog Cafe.

The wait was long and the food was average. The sites were more appealing to the kids than the food was.
