I Am Not A Dog

 

Repeat it to your self long enough and you become what you say you are.

Regardless of what people tell you, you are not a dog/dawg. God intends for you to be much greater than you are.   Satan is a liar and he wants you to live a life full of self-pleasure and once you become accustom to that limited life he will leave you in your mess. 

 

 

 

I do not claim that I have already succeeded or have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself. Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead. So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above. Philippians 3:12-14

Physical Fitness and Your Core Strenght

 

Like physical fitness the core of your life should be strong; Both need to be worked on daily.  

Galatians 5:25

 

 

 

 Keep Christ at the core of your life. 

 

 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions  and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-2

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

It's Your Choice

You are what you tell yourself you are:Repeat it enough and you will begin to believe it.

 You are not what the world says you are. God has so much more for you. Your answer is as close as a prayer. There is a choice to be made.The next step you take is yours.

 

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. 

The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

It surprises me that many of us will cringe at being mad fun of. And yet each day you see and hear the name of God, the belief in God and what they think of Him being misused, abused and disrespected. As much as we would love to step in and take control with whatever means needed. It is good to member that we are only accountable for what we do and not what others do. The reverence for God as his Word starts in the church and our homes.   


  The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. ¹⁶ But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.
2 Chronicles 15 - 16

Church Steeples

 

 

The church steeple has always been a symbol of how much the society thinks of their religion. Most old churches have steeples that leave no doubt about where the people were in mind and location. The path to church was lead by the steeple. You could always look up and find a safe place to worship no matter where you were. Charleston, SC has some of the most unique and highest steeples. No wonder people feel as if the friendliness rubs off onto them when they visit it.

 

Today however many churches have opted out of tall steeples.

Senator Clemente Pinkney Portrait Unveiled

 

 

 

In Columbia, SC yesterday a portrait of the late Senator Clemente Pinckney was unveiled in a crowded Senate Chambers. The portrait was painted by a local and fellow artist Larry Lebby.  Members of Emmanuel AME church and community along with South Carolina citizens of various regions came to give respect.

In memory of the late Senator, my wife and University of South Carolina administrator gave each family member snippets of a Hydrangea. The roots with for and the plant can be place in a place that will give the Senator recognition every year. I watch as she cut each peace and placed in water bags. While she placed them in coolers for travel, I asked how why? After hearing the explanation I knew that the families would be appreciative of the gesture.

 

May the memory of what happened leads us to joy and not hate.

 

 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 5:20

Keep The Love Going

 

 

It's the day after Easter

but please keep the love going.

The Choice is Obvious

 

 

 

The Fruit of the Spirit is

Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control.

Benefits of Freedom

 

 

 Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of freedom. Therefore, be firm in this freedom, and don’t become slaves again.

 I, Paul, can guarantee that if you allow yourselves to be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you.  Again, I insist that everyone who allows himself to be circumcised must realize that he obligates himself to do everything Moses’ Teachings demand. Those of you who try to earn God’s approval by obeying his laws have been cut off from Christ. You have fallen out of God’s favor. However, in our spiritual nature, faith causes us to wait eagerly for the confidence that comes with God’s approval. As far as our relationship to Christ Jesus is concerned, it doesn’t matter whether we are circumcised or not. But what matters is a faith that expresses itself through love.

You were doing so well. Who stopped you from being influenced by the truth? The arguments of the person who is influencing you do not come from the one who is calling you. A little yeast spreads through the whole batch of dough. ¹The Lord gives me confidence that you will not disagree with this. However, the one who is confusing you will suffer God’s judgment regardless of who he is. Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching that circumcision is necessary, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the cross wouldn’t be offensive anymore.  I wish those troublemakers would castrate themselves.

You were indeed called to be free, brothers and sisters. Don’t turn this freedom into an excuse for your corrupt nature to express itself. Rather, serve each other through love.  All of Moses’ Teachings are summarized in a single statement, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” But if you criticize and attack each other, be careful that you don’t destroy each other.

Let me explain further. Live your life as your spiritual nature directs you. Then you will never follow through on what your corrupt nature wants.

Galations 5:1-16



Trees Cannot Throw Fruit

If you are standing under a tree and all you see are apples on the ground, you can be assured that the tree is more than likely an apple tree. A tree cannot throw it's fruit to disguise what fruit it will produce. There is no deception if you really look.

 

The bible tells us to judge (yes I said it) each person by the FRUIT it produces. The FRUIT of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Galatians 5:22-23

 

The bible also tells us what is also very obvious. Now, the effects of the corrupt nature are obvious: illicit sex, perversion, promiscuity,idolatry, drug use, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambition, conflict, factions,envy, drunkenness, wild partying, and similar things. I've told you in the past and I'm telling you again that people who do these kinds of things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21

 

 

Therefore, if you have any question about choosing who to follow, I would suggest taking in account what FRUIT are around him or her. As stated before deception only fools you if you choose not to see what is obviously right on the ground around them.

 

Smoke Is Only The Indicator

 



"Until we truly learn that evil has no color preference we will always chase smoke."

 

To put out a fire don't follow where the smoke flows, look to where it is coming from.

 

It leads to a friendly place or a place that hates you

 

 the method of extermination is the same get rid of everything around it,

 

 expose the core and drown it.

 

Like fire, evil will use what ever fuel that gives it oxygen.

 

 Don't waste the Good breath that God has given you to do evil and don't chase smoke.

 

 

 

 

No Fear

 

 

So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

God Is Truth

Dealing With The Truth Is Not For The Weak.

 Those Holding To It Should Be Commended

for Their Strength.

leave it.

If you are so old that it has faded away...ask for help.
